Is it legal in Florida to be turned down a job because I don’t speak spanish?

I wanted to apply for this job as a sample make up seller at a kiosk in a mall, they said I seemed qualified and that you don’t need any experience or anything they completely train you, but she asked me if I spoke Spanish, I said no, then she wouldn’t even let fill out an application. Is that legal or is that considered discrimination? It was a regular corporate store, not a spanish store or anything.
