Do I have a better chance of being hired if I speak Spanish?

I had an interview with Wells Fargo and they asked me whether I was interviewing for the bilingual position or English only position, because they had both position to fill. Since I speak Spanish also, I thought it would better my chances of being hired — what do you think? And would I get paid more?
Karen, we prefer to be called Latinos. The word Hispanic was given to us by Nixon in trade for something, and we don’t like it because it is an epigram for Sp*c. But thanks.
